Eric DeWald, chief executive officer

Eric joined the Foundation in January 2000, with expertise in nonprofit governance, finance and program design. More than a decade of Eric’s professional experience focused on designing and strengthening community and school collaborations to improve child and family outcomes. At the Center for Juvenile Justice Training and Research, and the Center for Schools and Communities, Eric coordinated several statewide initiatives for Pennsylvania’s Department of Education and Public Welfare. A trainer and facilitator in strategic planning and governance, Eric emphasizes the Carver Policy Governance Model and the Peter Drucker Self Assessment in these endeavors. He holds a B.A. in sociology from Eastern University and an MPA from the Pennsylvania State University, School of Public Affairs. Eric is a native of Millville, in Columbia County, and also lived for many years in Northumberland and Sunbury.
