A Giving Circle
Many of you came to know us as the Auxiliary of the former Berwick Hospital, before the hospital sold in 1998. The Auxiliary was founded in 1929 as the Berwick Hospital Auxiliary. For the past 10 years we served as an auxiliary to the Berwick Health & Wellness Fund (BHWF).
Recently we have renewed our commitment to volunteerism in the Berwick area and thanks to the Gift Shop Committee, the Auxiliary general treasury and matching contributions from BHWF we now have our own fund.
ViP will continue to build the endowment fund, make grants to worthy causes, and volunteer time for charitable purposes. We hold two major fundraisers each year, The Annual Dinner Dance and the Golf Classic. Proceeds from these events are distributed to charitable causes and the endowment fund.
Our new name reflects our relationship with the foundation and our commitment to use our resources to maintain and improve our community.
