Tree of Life

The Tree of Life Hanging in the Office of Central Susquehanna Community Foundation.The “Tree of Life” provides a way to honor and recognize donors to the Berwick Health and Wellness Fund. The “Tree of Life” is a collection of plaques in the shape of a tree that is displayed in the board room of the Foundation office.

Individuals, families or organizations making a contribution of between $1,000 and $10,000 to the Berwick Health and Wellness Fund or who set up a permanent fund of $10,000 or more in the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation to benefit the Berwick area, can choose to be a part of the Tree of Life.

Donors choose an inscription for addition to the Tree. The categories are as follows: Brass Leaf ($1,000), Brass Acorn ($1,500), Contributor Stone ($3,000), Benefactor Stone ($5,000), and Presidential Stone ($10,000).


The Tree of Life originated through the Berwick Hospital Auxiliary and was created by Sanford Werfel.
