Sunbury Area Community Foundation Grants
The Sunbury Area Health Fund invested $47,000
in the Susquehanna River Valley Dental Health Clinic.
The Sunbury Area Community Foundation offers an annual competitive grantround to award grants from the Sunbury Area Health Fund, Mary E. and J. Guy Lesher Fund, C. Preston Geist, and Kathryn S. Geist Endowment Fund, Clyde H. Jacobs Fund and Gladys C. Dagle Fund. Organizations that invest in programs and projects that specifically target the following health-related goal areas are encouraged to apply during that time:
- Children’s Health
- Early Childhood
- Oral Health
- Issues regarding the working poor
- Coronary Care
Only 501 (c)(3) non-profit and governmental organizations are eligible to apply and 100% of requested funding from the above noted funds must be invested within the original Sunbury Hospital service area. This service area is also defined as the geographic area within the Shikellamy, Selinsgrove and Line Mountain school districts.
The Sunbury Area Community Foundation is affiliated with the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation (CSCF) and their grant process is administered by the CSCF. Grant applications are now available and will be accepted until the July 26 deadline. Please read the press release and grant instructions before completing one of the two applications available. You can select one of two grant applications: Program or Capital. Twelve packets of the grant application and required attachments must be received via mail by July 26, 2011. Documents must be mailed together; no piece-mailing. Email will NOT be accepted..
